Clear Answers
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Regular Captioning ($0) and AI Captioning?
Regular Captioning uses your browser's built-in WebSpeech API and is 100% free and unlimited forever. AI Captioning uses advanced cloud speech recognition models for higher accuracy with specialized vocabulary, noisy rooms, and additional Chromium browsers.
Do schools, churches, or non-profits qualify for donated AI captioning hours?
Yes. Through our Giving Back initiative, qualifying classrooms, non-profits, and community groups can request donated AI captioning tokens at no cost.
What happens if I run out of AI captioning hours during the month?
You are never cut off from live captioning. If your monthly AI token allocation is reached, you can immediately continue captioning with unlimited Regular browser-based captioning at zero cost.
