Live Event Captions & Surtitles
Live Captions & Surtitles Tailored for Your Event
Flexible, browser-powered live captions for conferences, auditorium presentations, broadcast streams, and scripted theatre.
Flexible Display Modes
Versatile Ways to Display Captions
Choose the display arrangement that fits your venue architecture and audience workflow.
Attendee Personal Device Relay (via QR Code)
The simplest and most accessible option. We provide a unique QR code you can display on stage or in programs. Attendees scan it to follow real-time captions directly on their own phone, tablet, or laptop at their seat.
Stage Screens & Venue Displays
Display live captions directly on an auditorium projector, confidence monitor, or side TV with clean, readable, high-contrast formatting that works with your room lighting.
Live Stream Integration (vMix & OBS)
Connect captions directly into your broadcast switcher. With our vMix extension or standard browser source inputs, you get clean, digital on-screen titles without fuzzy desktop screen captures.
Scripted Theatre Surtitles
Experience implementing and cueing scripted surtitles for live theatre, plays, and musical performances, keeping text synchronized with actors' line delivery.
100% Private by Design
Audio processed through Zip Captions stays private. Audio is not saved, stored, or sold. Your presenters, attendees, and discussions remain confidential.

Live Event Captioning & Surtitling FAQ
How quickly do you respond to live event captioning quote requests?
We typically respond within one business day with a tailored recommendation and transparent pricing estimate based on your venue setup, display preferences, and event duration.
Can we combine QR code personal device relays with a stage screen or vMix stream?
Yes! Because our captioning tools are browser-powered, we can simultaneously feed an auditorium projector or vMix/OBS broadcast overlay while allowing attendees to scan a QR code to follow along on their own smartphones.
How do scripted theatre surtitles differ from automated live captions?
For live theatre and musical performances, we pre-load your script and manually cue surtitles in real time to match actors' exact pacing and dramatic timing—preventing spoilers or speech-to-text errors during artistic performances.
